Every year, we try to offer the community two or three opportunities to meet local artists and view their work. To date, we have shown paintings, watercolors, pastels and more by the following artists: Patrick O'Connor, Judith Wood, Linda Price, Adolph Kazlaukas, Steve Carver, Wayne Nowack, Sarah Ahearn, and Trish Coonrod. ![]() ![]() Friday, March 5th, 5-8 pm Watercolor and Ink Landscapes by Ann Day The Frame Shop will present artist Ann Day and showcase many of her small watercolor and ink landscapes of Umbria, Italy and Dordogne, France. The show will run from March 3rd - April 17th with its opening reception on Friday, March 5th from 5-8 pm as part of Gallery Night. Come meet Ann and share some delicious treats. Ann Day was born in Malta in 1927 and raised in England and Jersey, Channel Islands. She escaped the German occupation of Jersey in World War II and was a refugee to the United States in 1940. Ann graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 1948 (Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude). She has three children and is married to Donald Mintz. Ann has been exhibiting her watercolors since 1959 in galleries in Hawaii, Colorado, Iowa, Utah, New Jersey, New York City, and Ithaca. She is a signatory member of the National Watercolor Society and has work displayed in the Utah Museum of Fine Arts and in various other commercial and private collections through the United States and Europe. Ann is also an art history lecturer at venues in New Jersey and for Art HIstory Tours of France (since 1990). For more information on Ann, visit: annday.net |
