What should I expect when I come in?
-
The Consultation
Some customers know exactly what they want and others don't have any idea. Either way, we'll sit down with you and help you work through many decisions like what type of glass, what mat color and, of course, what frame to get. Our trained staff will guide you in selecting what you want or suggest what they feel works best with your artwork. We take as much time as you need - you'll never feel rushed. And if you have trouble making a decision, we will be happy to let you borrow mat and moulding samples overnight so you can take them home and see how they look in your own space.
-
What to Bring
The only thing you need to bring is the item you want to have framed and any ideas you may have. If you have a specific room in which you are planning to hang your artwork, you may want to bring the paint colors or fabric swatches.
-
Time Frame
Typically it takes around two weeks to complete your order. If you need the work sooner, we will certainly try to accommodate you. Because we have over 100 mouldings in stock and do our work on the premises, we are able to handle rush orders. We charge a 10% rush fee for anything needed in a week or less.
-
Cost
The cost to frame a piece of artwork varies significantly depending on the size, type of medium and materials selected. Our staff is happy to help you work within any budget and provide a free estimate.
-
Framing Ideas
We don't just frame pictures. If you are looking for a unique gift or considering what to do with a specific item, keep framing in mind. Needlework, sports jerseys, t-shirts, records, jewelry, lace, buttons, old ornaments, children's art, and antique photos are just some examples of work we have framed in the past.

No Appointment Necessary
No appointment is needed at The Frame Shop unless you want to work with a particular employee or you're an artist who needs several pieces for an upcoming show.
